In 2014, Guararapes celebrated 40 years of history. More than a time landmark, that celebration symbolized our journey of sustainable growth and responsibility toward the future. For that same year, we are proud to announce that we achieved 87% of the established ESG goals, exceeding the 80% that had been established as a minimum achievement, which thus reinforces our commitment to governance, the environment, and society. On the Social axis, we conducted the company’s first Diversity Census, which is going to enable us to carry out inclusion actions in a more structured and assertive manner. We expanded the women’s participation in leadership positions and invested over R$ 500 thousand in actions focused on health care, education, and sports in the communities where we are present. We also conquered the ISO 45001 certification, which certifies that our environment is safe and healthy for our more than two thousand employees.

In the Environment and Forestry fields, we expanded our forest operation by 3.5 thousand hectares and obtained the validation of the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for the life cycle of our MDF and plywood products. These actions strengthen the sustainability of our production chain and ensure the continuity of our business with responsibility.

Innovation continued to be a priority: we consolidated MDF LINE 3 with a modern evaporation system that contributes toward our 42% reduction in industrial effluents. We also deployed Industry 4.0 solutions for quicker and safer decisions in our production process.

We further celebrated our recognition through important industry awards, such as the 2024 Retail Design Award, from the Retail Design Institute, and the Popai Brasil 2024 award under the category “Store Architecture and Design Projects” with our Caçador Casa Guararapes showroom.
